On July 5th, we captured a set of spy photos of the Xpeng P6 (code name F57) model. It is reported that the car is positioned as a pure electric mid size car and features a four door coupe exterior design. It is expected to be officially released within the year. According to previous reports, it is expected that the new car will offer three versions with a range of 550/600/700km, and the vehicle entered the SOP phase in June this year.
Looking at spy photos, the overall appearance of the new car is covered with thick camouflage materials. The front face of the vehicle adopts a relatively low design, with a general outline similar to the Xpeng P7 and the newly unveiled MONA M03. The front bumper and two side fenders of the new car show a trend of curved lines, and the headlights are roughly located at the corners on both sides of the front of the car, giving a slightly T-shaped feeling. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a grille design below the front bumper, but its final shape and function cannot be determined yet.
Based on the previously exposed Xpeng product plan, a large compact SUV codenamed F61 will be launched this year, which can be seen as the successor to the Xpeng G3i. In addition, new models such as E39, E29, and F59 will also be introduced this year. The new car jointly developed by Xpeng and Volkswagen is planned to be launched in 2026, and the first model will be an SUV product, or equivalent in size to the Xpeng G9.
From the side view of the vehicle, the new car adopts a sleek coupe design, with an overall visual center of gravity leaning towards the rear. However, it should be noted that the rear of the car in the spy photos is very wide at present, because the test vehicle is covered with thick foam material, and the real vehicle should be smoother. In addition, we can also observe that the car features hidden door handles and frameless doors, as well as 21 inch large-sized wheels. Compared to the overall body size, the visual effect is very full.
It is difficult to see the specific modeling details of the rear of the car. It is uncertain whether the hatchback tailgate will be used, which may be the visual illusion of foam camouflage material. At present, the tail lights of the test vehicle are arranged longitudinally, located on both sides of the tailgate. The actual design of the tail lights for the vehicle is still uncertain.
At present, the interior assembly of the vehicle is still relatively rudimentary and belongs to the state of a test vehicle. However, it can be seen that the central control adopts a suspended screen. At the same time, it provides two wireless charging stations for mobile phones, a dual spoke steering wheel, and adopts a gear shifting method. At present, overall, it is similar to the current Xpeng family model.
In terms of power, currently only news indicates that the car will adopt a pure electric power system, which will provide three types of range: 550/600/700km. From spy photos of the chassis, it can be seen that the new car may be equipped with air suspension. There is no further information available, and we will continue to monitor any further updates regarding Xpeng P6 (code F57).
