As a Han EV top-end car owner, I received an OTA push on November 12, finally ushering in the much-anticipated Yunnan-C upgrade.

The upgrade process takes about 40-50 minutes. After the upgrade, an iTAC intelligent torque system and an intelligent chassis option are added to the settings.

I immediately went on the road to experience it. The performance of comfort control was quite satisfactory, with slight differences compared with before the upgrade. It was mainly reflected in the two scenes of cornering and pitting.

When coming out of the parking lot, you need to pass through a speed bump, which feels a little smoother than before the upgrade. In the past, there was an obvious bumpy feeling when the vehicle passed the speed bump, but after the upgrade, it was like lubricating the body. The body became more compact and the vibrations were reduced.

I encountered a manhole cover on the road and was able to pass more smoothly. However, when encountering potholes, the improvement effect is not obvious, and the suspension system’s shock absorption is still large. Chopstick hanging is indeed a flaw.

The improvement effect is very obvious when cornering, and the stability is enhanced. There was a feeling of being thrown out before, but now it is basically gone. The co-pilot’s riding experience is more obvious, and the wrapping feeling of the sports seat gradually appears. In the city, most of the corners are wider, and I hope to try it out on mountain roads if I get the chance. I mentioned in an article before that the steering wheel will vibrate when accelerating through corners. After the upgrade, this feeling has been reduced a lot.

To sum up, as the most basic level in the Yunnan system, Yunnan-C does not significantly improve the driving experience. The sport mode before the upgrade can already bring a sense of compactness to the body. This upgrade can be said to be the icing on the cake, rather than giving timely help. As for the specific functions of iTAC, I haven’t fully experienced it yet. Maybe it is about the function of electronically controlling torque distribution between the front and rear wheels?

As a car owner, I haven’t driven many different makes of vehicles to pinpoint specific differences like a car reviewer. All I can do is talk about my feelings and hope other owners can experience it for themselves.
