According to official news, the product is scheduled to officially launch pre-sales at the Guangzhou Auto Show in the fourth quarter of this year.
Xpeng Huitian will build a research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and sales center for flying cars in the Guangzhou Development Zone, which will be used for testing, production, sales, and camp operations of flying cars. Among them, the Intelligent Manufacturing Center is the world’s first flying car factory to use modern assembly lines for large-scale production, which will first be used to produce the flying body part of the split type flying car “Land Aircraft Carrier”.
The Xpeng Huitian split type flying car is divided into two parts: a land-based body and a flying body that can be automatically separated and combined. The land-based body can fully store the flying body inside the car and carry out ground travel.
The flying body is the first manned pure electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft developed for individual users in China. It adopts a distributed electric propulsion system, meets the safety requirements of single point of failure, has two driving modes: manual and automatic, and has a 270 ° panoramic two person cockpit; The land-based vehicle is an intelligent cockpit for 4-5 people, equipped with an extended range electric drive power system, which can provide multiple energy supplements for the flying vehicle. The whole vehicle adopts a three axle six wheel design, which can achieve 6x6x6 all wheel drive and rear wheel steering, and has good load-bearing capacity and off-road capability.
