Recently, XPeng Huitian Traveler X2 officially completed its first flight in the Linkong Economic Zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport. The official stated that this is also the first flight of manned low altitude aircraft, including flying cars, in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region.
Public information shows that Beijing will create a national demonstration of low altitude flight application innovation, open up multiple application scenarios, establish commuting routes between Daxing Airport and Xiong’an New Area, Capital Airport and Tianjin, Langfang and other areas in intercity commuting, and explore new business models of split type flying vehicles for intercity commuting and intercity ferry applications.
XPeng Huitian stated, “The company is preparing to mass produce and plans to launch pre-sales of XPeng Huitian split type flying cars in the fourth quarter of this year, which can meet the needs of exploring intercity commuting with split type flying cars.”
The Traveler X2 can carry two passengers and is powered by pure electricity, suitable for low altitude flights in future cities. It can meet the needs of short distance travel within the city and also serve scenarios such as field rescue and medical transportation.
The Traveler X2 is equipped with two modes: manual and automatic. During the automatic flight process of Traveler X2, passengers only need to perform simple operations such as one key start, one key return, and one key landing to have a safe and intelligent flight experience.
