Recently, we obtained a set of interior official images of the BYD FCB 8 flagship model of the Leopard from official channels. The new car’s interior continues the design language of the Fangcheng Leopard family, with a tough and technologically advanced design. The seats are available in two layouts: 6-seater and 7-seater. It is reported that the new car is positioned in the 500000 yuan market and is expected to be launched after the third quarter of 2024.

In terms of overall appearance, the interior of BYD FCB 8 is also based on the design concept of “Future Starship Aesthetics”, which is consistent with the calm and majestic appearance. The neat partition style makes the passenger’s vision appear broader. The center console has a multi screen design and supports linkage function, making it easy to operate.

In terms of detailed design, we can see a sub center console control panel similar to the style of an aircraft control panel, with built-in shift lever and numerous physical control buttons. The front air conditioning vents are designed with locking buckles. The decorative elements of the door panel incorporate a key like armrest, with wood grain splicing decoration on the top and suede material on the ceiling, creating a visual and tactile dual enjoyment as a whole.

The BYD FCB 8 has two optional layouts of 6/7 seats, with the difference reflected in the second row. The 6-seater model has two independent seats in the second row, and as we can see from the picture, the electric seats have rich functions, and the central armrest is made of leather material soft package. The second row seats of the 7-seater model are 3-seater integrated, which can be well connected with the passenger seat. The flexibility and fine design of the seats help provide passengers with various ways to sit and rest.

In terms of power, according to publicly available information, the new car adopts a DMO off-road platform and is equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system (the Leopard 5 is a 1.5T plug-in hybrid), with a maximum engine power of 272 horsepower (200 kW); The peak power of permanent magnet synchronous motor is 200kW in the front and 300kW in the back, equipped with lithium iron phosphate power battery. In terms of suspension, the non load bearing body of the Leopard BYD FCB 8 is equipped with double wishbone independent suspension at the front and rear, and three differential locks. Due to the characteristics of the DMO super hybrid off-road platform, the vehicle has eliminated the traditional transmission shaft and replaced the central differential lock with an electronic inter axle energy lock. In addition, the fully functional version of the Yunnian-P intelligent hydraulic body control system will also be added to meet the multi scenario driving needs of different users.
