BYD Enters Egyptian Market, Launches Dolphin and Song PLUS Models
On February 9th, BYD announced on its official Weibo account that on February 4th, 2026 (local time), BYD, in partnership with the Egyptian Mansour Group, officially entered the Egyptian market, introducing three models to local consumers: the BYD Dolphin Surf, the BYD Sealion 6 EV (Song PLUS EV), and the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i (Song PLUS DM-i).
Shortly before this announcement, Li Yunfei, General Manager of BYD's Brand and Public Relations Department, revealed that BYD plans to sell 1.3 million vehicles in markets outside of China in 2026, a nearly 25% increase compared to the over 1.04 million vehicles delivered overseas in 2025. Public information shows that BYD has already established factories in countries such as Thailand and Uzbekistan, with a factory in Hungary soon to begin production. Its overseas market coverage extends to over 110 countries.
