Recently, in the fifth batch of the Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models with Reduced Vehicle Purchase Tax issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the range information of the Leapmotor C16 pure electric version was exposed. The Leapmotor C16 is positioned as a mid to large-sized SUV, making its debut at the Beijing Auto Show and opening pre-sales. The top of the line model is priced at no more than 200000 yuan and is expected to be officially launched and delivered in June this year.
According to the information exposed this time, the Leapmotor C16 pure electric version will be equipped with a 67.7 kilowatt hour lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC range of 520 kilometers. The power system of this car is provided by Jinhua Lingsheng Power Technology Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 215 kilowatts. According to previous reports, the Leapmotor C16 extended range version is equipped with a power system consisting of a 1.5-liter four cylinder range extender and an electric motor. The maximum power of the range extender is 70 kW, and the maximum power of the driving motor is 170 kW. It is matched with a 28.04 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, and has a pure electric range of 134 kilometers under CLTC conditions.
In terms of appearance, the Leapmotor C16 adopts a family design language, with an overall shape that is closer to the C10. Both the front and rear of the car are equipped with through type light strips. In terms of size, the length, width, and height of the Leapmotor C16 are 4915/1950/1770 millimeters respectively, with a wheelbase of 2825 millimeters. It is positioned as a mid to large-sized SUV, which is also the largest model launched by the Leapmotor brand to date.
In terms of configuration, the Leapmotor C16 will provide roof LiDAR, dual camera, rear and rear window privacy glass, and two sizes of black or silver wheels, 20 inch and 21 inch, to choose from.
The interior layout of the Leapmotor C16 is basically the same as that of the C10, equipped with a floating central control screen and a Qualcomm 8295 chip. The dashboard area provides wireless charging for mobile phones, cup holders, and more.
The Leapmotor C16 adopts a 2+2+2 6-seater layout inside the car, with 2 independent seats in the second row and folding armrests, and a canopy in the overhead position. At the same time, the rear of the vehicle also has a ceiling screen and supports Dolby panoramic sound.
