Before the opening of the Beijing Auto Show, we captured the HongQi HQ9 PHEV model at the exhibition hall. The vehicle is priced starting from 360,000 RMB and is set to be officially launched during the Beijing Auto Show.
The HQ9 PHEV maintains the design of the gasoline version, featuring a straight waterfall-style front grille. The headlights incorporate wing-shaped LED daytime running lights, seamlessly integrated with the grille, creating a cohesive and luxurious appearance.
On the side profile, the new car adopts a dual electric sliding door design. It is adorned with a chrome trim strip embedded in the window frame, complemented by hidden B and C pillars and a segmented D-pillar design, giving the car a floating roof visual effect. Additionally, the car is equipped with new dual-tone multi-spoke wheels, adding a more imposing presence. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 5222/2005/1935mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3200mm.
In terms of power, the HQ9 PHEV is equipped with a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid system. It features a 2.0-liter engine with a maximum power of 120 kW. The car is equipped with dual motors at the front and rear, providing a four-wheel-drive system. It utilizes a ternary lithium battery sourced from CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd.), with a maximum combined power output of 210 kW and a maximum torque of 440 N·m. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 8.3 seconds, and the fuel consumption is rated at 2.4L/100km. Furthermore, the vehicle will be equipped with an L2-level autonomous driving system.
