On July 27th, the all-new NIO Phone was officially launched, with a price range of 6499-7499 yuan. The performance version is priced at 6499 yuan, the flagship version at 6899 yuan, and the EPedition at 7499 yuan. As a second-generation product, the all-new NIO Phone has undergone a comprehensive upgrade, which allows it to achieve deeper “driver connectivity” with NIO’s automotive products.
The overall design of the new device still adopts a symmetrical front and rear design style, offering 5 body colors, including pine green, golden sand rice, moon glow silver, aerospace blue, and star cloud red, which are the same as NIO’s exterior colors. The new car also features a brand-new EPedition technology, with a pure black overall color scheme. The battery cover adopts an integrated nano crystalline ceramic design and is equipped with the EP classic red line to enhance the feel.
The screen adopts a deep micro quad curved screen (officially known as the Tianqiong screen), with a bending depth of 724 μ m, a screen size of 6.82 inches, a 2K resolution+510PPi. At the same time, the official stated that the screen film for the new machine will also be updated to make it more compatible. This design not only retains the rounded grip feel of the all-new NIO Phone, but also makes the visual experience more pure. The back design continues the design language of the skyline, which will not sway or creak when placed on a table. The entire back is clean and simple, without excessive decorative elements. This year’s special edition ‘Star Cloud Red’ features a fully matte design that is completely fingerprint free and feels like velvet.
In terms of cameras, it is equipped with a 48 megapixel dual layer pixel wide-angle+48 megapixel ultra wide-angle+50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and its night scene ultra sensitivity is 150% higher than the first generation NIO Phone in terms of light intake.
The new device will come standard with a Snapdragon 8Gen3 processor, with up to 16GB+1T of optional memory and storage combination, and will also upgrade the cooling system. According to the official, the new machine is outstanding in game performance. The glory of the king can be maintained at 40.5 degrees at 119.9 frames in 20 minutes, and the Genshin Impact can be maintained at 59.8 frames in 30 minutes. In addition, it is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, which increases the battery life by 10% to 1.16 days, and the emergency mode extends the low battery talk time by 30 minutes.
The mobile system is still based on NIO Link’s Android system SkyUI 2.0, maintaining a refreshing interaction with zero system advertising and no commercial pre installation. In terms of privacy and security, it is equipped with national secret authentication security chips, as well as banner notification content privacy (AON+facial recognition) and intelligent license plate coding.
In terms of functionality, the new device will upgrade to NOMI GPT, including call recording summary, text summary, album large model search, and AI erase pen, among others. NIO Link panoramic connectivity includes custom car control keys, super sensory car keys, new intelligent car control, super sensory parking optimization, intelligent car search, enhanced sky window, NIO Link application ecosystem expansion, new games, immersive sound, and more. It is worth mentioning that some of the above functions require the car system to be upgraded to BanYan 2.1.0 or above.
