It is reported that the 2024 Geely ICON will be launched on May 25th. The new car has a compact and stylish appearance, with a dual screen interior design and a 1.5T engine for power. It is also equipped with L2 level driving assistance.
The new car has a body size of 4350/1815/1620mm and a wheelbase of 2640mm. In terms of appearance design, it has a strong sense of hierarchy. The front face adopts split type headlights, and the daytime running lights are connected by black decorative strips. The square grille is relatively three-dimensional. The suspended roof on the side of the car has a youthful style, with hidden door handles and square decorative strips on the side skirts. The tail is full, the lamp group is neat, and the C-shaped design of the license plate cover echoes the front. The external configuration includes adaptive high and low beam headlights, turn assist lights, keyless entry in the front row, roof luggage rack, electrically folding exterior mirrors, and an electric tailgate.
In terms of interior, it adopts a 12.3-inch central control screen and a full LCD instrument panel size of 10.25-inch. The car adopts the Galaxy OS system and is equipped with navigation, Hicar, Voice control for the driver and co pilot, etc. In terms of internal configuration, it comes with a panoramic sunroof that cannot be opened, L2 level driving assistance, automatic parking, remote control of moving vehicles, automatic air conditioning, 72 color ambient lighting, 360 degree panoramic imaging, transparent chassis, tire pressure display, fatigue detection, etc.
In terms of seats, faux leather seats are used, and the second row space is not cramped, making it relatively spacious for daily use. However, the length of the seat cushion is average. In terms of seat functionality, it is equipped with 6-way electric adjustment for the driver, 4-way electric adjustment for the passenger seat, and heated front seats.
In terms of power, it is equipped with a 1.5T engine, with a maximum power of 133 kW and a maximum torque of 290 Nm. The gearbox is equipped with a 7-speed wet dual clutch. The chassis suspension structure is front MacPherson and rear multi link. In terms of dynamic experience, the acceleration time of 100 kilometers is about 7.9 seconds, with some momentum in the middle and later stages, and there is a slight jerk in the gearbox at low speeds. The chassis tuning is more rugged, with a certain level of driving participation, but the shock absorption comfort is average. In terms of fuel consumption, the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is about 8.5 liters, and 92 octane gasoline can be added.
Overall, the new car has good appearance, power, and configuration, and there are no major issues with the space. However, fuel consumption does not have many advantages compared to new energy vehicles.
