The new BYD Song Pro has undergone a comprehensive upgrade to its front face, featuring a simpler design, and will be equipped with DM5.0 technology.
The difference between the new and old models
In terms of appearance, the new BYD Song Pro has undergone a comprehensive facelift, retaining only the iconic chrome grille design of the Dynasty Net and the Song logo. The headlights on both sides have become more slender and feature a smoked black design. The lower grille has been comprehensively optimized, with honeycomb grille and aggressive side flow channels, giving it a very domineering appearance.
On the side of the car, the design of the current model is still maintained, but the overall window edges have been blackened, and the wheels have also been upgraded to a new style. In terms of body dimensions, the new car measures 4735 in length, 1860 in width, and 1710mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2712mm. The rear of the vehicle still adopts a through type taillight, but the BYD logo is used in the center. The original Build your Dream no longer appears at the rear of the new car, and the overall rear bumper is more concise.
In terms of interior, the new car will adopt a larger central control screen, and it is expected that the steering wheel and electronic transmission will be similar to the design of the Qin L, including a crystal gear lever and a better textured steering wheel. It is expected that ambient lighting will also be added to the car interior.
In terms of power, the new car should adopt DM5.0 technology, equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 74 kilowatts, a maximum motor power of 120 kilowatts, and matched with a Freddie lithium iron phosphate blade battery. At the same time, the suspension will also adopt front MacPherson independent suspension and rear four-bar independent suspension.
