On June 18th, the Beijing Times Battery Base project, jointly invested and constructed by CATL, BAIC Group, Jingneng Group, Xiaomi Group, and others, held a groundbreaking ceremony in Yizhuang, Beijing.
The Beijing Times Battery Base project is designed according to the high standard of “Lighthouse Factory+Zero Carbon Factory” and adopts Ningde Times’ most advanced high rhythm, high automation rate, and high flexibility production line.
After completion, it will provide stable mass production and high-quality battery products for customers of Beijing Tianjin Hebei automotive companies such as BAIC and Xiaomi. At the same time, it will also drive more upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to settle in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region.
At present, the battery cell brands of Xiaomi SU7 come from BYD blade batteries from Fodi, Shenxing batteries from Ningde Times, and Qilin batteries, with battery energies of 73.6kWh, 94.3kWh, and 101kWh respectively, corresponding to CLTC working conditions of 700km, 830km, and 800km.
