On July 3rd, Lu Tian, General Manager of the Sales Department of BYD Dynasty Network, stated on social media that in the first natural month after the launch of the BYD Qin L, sales exceeded 20000 units. It is worth mentioning that the official stated that the new car will be delivered to users as soon as possible.
The BYD Qin L was launched on May 28th and is positioned as a mid size sedan. There are a total of 5 models available for sale, with a price range of 99800 to 139800 yuan. In terms of configuration, the entire range of Qin L DM-i is equipped with DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, including ACC adaptive cruise control, ICC intelligent navigation, LDW lane departure warning, LDP lane departure suppression and other functions, combined with 4-probe rear reversing radar and 3D panoramic transparent image.
In terms of power, the new car adopts the latest DM5.0 system, which is composed of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor. The maximum power of the engine is 74 kW, the maximum torque of the engine is 126 N · m, and the motor has two power options.
Specifically, it is equipped with BYD’s blade battery (lithium iron phosphate) and offers two versions for consumers to choose from. The low-end version is equipped with a 10.08kWh battery, a motor of 120kW/210N · m, and a pure electric range of 80km under CLTC conditions. The high-end version is equipped with a 15.874kWh battery, with a maximum motor power of 160 kW/260N · m, and a pure electric range of 120km under CLTC conditions.
Thanks to the fifth generation DM technology platform, the highest thermal efficiency of the engine is 46.06%. The Qin L DM-i has a fuel consumption of only 2.9L/100km under NEDC conditions, with a comprehensive range of 2100 kilometers on full fuel and electricity.
