Recently, we obtained a set of real-life pictures of the new AITO M5 from domestic social media. During the Huawei HarmonyOS Spring Communication Conference, Yu Chengdong made an announcement that the new AITO M5 would officially launch on April 23rd. People anticipate that the new car will bring upgrades in terms of intelligent driving and driving control, as well as introducing pure electric and extended-range models.
From the exterior, this vehicle features a closed grille and belongs to the pure electric version. The new AITO M5 has made subtle adjustments to its exterior details. The Roewe logo on the front of the vehicle adopts a smoked black design, and the silver trim on the lower bumper has been replaced with black. Other parts remain consistent with the current model.
When observing the side of the vehicle, we notice that the fender’s camera module and the chrome trim surrounding the windows have undergone a transformation with a smoked black design. Additionally, the new car sports black double five-spoke wheels and red brake calipers, which further amplify its sporty aesthetic. Furthermore, it is evident that the roof incorporates a LiDAR sensor.
Powertrain information has not been disclosed yet, but referring to the current models, there are two power options: pure electric and extended-range. The electric motor options include a 272 horsepower rear-wheel drive and a 496 horsepower all-wheel drive. The pure electric rear-wheel drive models have two ranges: 602 km and 620 km, while the pure electric all-wheel drive model has a range of 534 km. The extended-range model features a 1.5T engine serving as a range extender, generating a maximum power output of 152 horsepower. The CTLC pure electric range, on the other hand, varies from 230 km to 260 km.
