AITO M7(2024) Receives a Significant Price Drop
On April 1st, the Harmony Intelligent Travel App displayed that the AITO New M7 model underwent equity adjustments, reducing its starting price to 229,800 yuan, a direct reduction of 20,000 yuan ($3,157.34).
Among the adjustments, the rear-wheel-drive models with five-seater and six-seater configurations saw a price reduction of 20,000 yuan, with starting prices of 229,800 yuan ($36,157.34) and 249,800 yuan ($39,315.68) respectively. The price of the five-seater four-wheel-drive model remained unchanged. The Smart Drive Edition with rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive, available for both five-seater and six-seater configurations, received a price reduction of 10,000 yuan. The former is now priced at 279,800 yuan ($44,063.02) and 299,800 yuan ($47,221.36) respectively, while the latter starts at 299,800 yuan ($47,221.36) and 319,800 yuan ($50,379.70) respectively.
AITO New M7: Advanced Features, Strong Sales, and Significant Upgrades
The AITO M7 was officially launched on September 12, 2023, offering five different configurations and the choice between a five-seater or six-seater layout, with a starting MSRP of 249,800 yuan ($39,315.68). Compared to the previous generation, the AITO New M7 has achieved intelligent range extension, providing a longer range and lower energy consumption. It is available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions.
According to Richard Yu, Huawei’s Executive Director, CEO of the Consumer Business Group, and CEO of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, the total investment for upgrading the AITO New M7 exceeds 500 million yuan ($78.79 million), with 100 million yuan ($15.76 million) dedicated to a complete redesign of the interior and exterior.
In addition to the Huawei HarmonyOS Intelligent Cockpit and Huawei ADS 2.0 Advanced Driving Assistance System, the new car features a strengthened body structure, improved chassis materials, and other enhancements.
In terms of sales, AITO achieved a cumulative delivery of 65,300 units from January 1st to March 10th this year. The New M7 surpassed 100,000 cumulative deliveries in just 170 days since its launch, with over 60% of customers choosing the Smart Drive Edition model.
