iCAR v23 launch date
Chery iCAR recently addressed the latest discussions on the internet and responded to inquiries regarding the pricing and delivery timeline of the iCAR V23. They also clarified once again that Zhimi Technology has no affiliation whatsoever with Xiaomi Corporation or the Xiaomi ecosystem.
The latest statement from the iCAR brand division indicates that they expect to launch the V23 by the end of this year. The team will continue to refine the product during this period. The vehicle is set to make its debut at the Brand Night event on April 12 and will also be showcased at the Beijing Auto Show.

Regarding the pricing, the official statement mentioned that “it is truly impossible for the price to be 99,000 RMB. Currently, the industry average for a high-end four-wheel-drive model with a 500km range is above 160,000 RMB.” As a reference, the iCAR V23 will be available in both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions. The official has not disclosed specific parameters, but they stated that the rear-wheel-drive variant will offer a range of over 400km, while the all-wheel-drive variant will provide a range of over 500km. It is anticipated that there will be notable variations in battery capacity.
The vehicle’s exterior design maintains the boxy shape while incorporating modernized elements of classic design. It features a solid bumper, round headlights, a raised front hood, and widened wheel arches, resulting in a blend of retro and stylish aesthetics. The car has approximate dimensions of 4220mm in length, 1915mm in width, and 1845mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2730mm. The approach and departure angles are around 42/43° and 40/41° respectively, with a minimum ground clearance of 206/212mm (for the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions respectively). It will be available with 19-inch and 21-inch wheels.
