Recently, BYD introduced the Seagull in Brazil and Mexico simultaneously. This pure electric sedan will be another maritime aesthetic model in the local market, following the Dolphin and the Seal. With its compact and agile body and responsive handling performance, the Seagull has become a fashionable choice for daily urban commuting. This launch event is the Seagull’s first appearance in Latin America, and it will be introduced to more Latin American markets in the future, contributing to the local urban green transportation transformation.
In the Brazilian market, the Seagull is expected to become another popular model for BYD, following the success of the Dolphin. In order to better serve local consumers, BYD has also released a series of preferential conditions in terms of insurance, financing, and more, providing special benefits to the first batch of Seagull users.
At the launch event in Mexico, BYD created a trendy new energy vehicle experience street, where the Seagull was showcased with a “cyberpunk” element paint job, exuding a futuristic sci-fi vibe. Nearly a hundred media and customers were present to immerse themselves in test driving the Seagull, experiencing innovative features such as VTOL discharge and mobile KTV.

The Seagull features an advanced intelligent cockpit system, equipped with a 10.1-inch adaptive rotating floating pad, compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, and the “Hi BYD” voice assistant system, providing more choices for intelligent and fun driving. In terms of safety, the Seagull adopts a high-strength body structure, equipped with ultra-safe blade batteries, six safety airbags, an intelligent power braking system, and more, providing comprehensive safety protection for passengers.
The Seagull has two versions available for its launch in Mexico, with a range of 300 kilometers and 380 kilometers (under NEDC conditions). The pure electric range of the Brazilian version is 380 kilometers (under NEDC conditions), and with DC fast charging, it only takes 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
