At the Beijing Auto Show, some media also asked CEO Li Xiang whether he still needs to follow MEGA’s design language. After all, Li AutoMEGA has been roast by the public at present!
It is obvious that Li wants to give the answer: still insist! I have some confidence in this pure electric SUV. According to Li Xiang, this car is equivalent to a travel version made by Tesla Model X. The body of this car is positioned at full size, so the third row seats will still be provided, adopting a 2+2+3 layout.
Perhaps everyone thought that when this car adopted the same design style as the Li AutoMEGA, the latest spy photos from the road test were exposed, which can be seen from the hood on the front of the car. The new car adopts a circular ring light, which is located directly in front of the front windshield, and the degree of front sliding is completely different from that of Li AutoMEGA.
It can be said that there is a certain degree of recognition in terms of appearance, and adding such a tilted front end may have a lower drag coefficient than the Li AutoMEGA, so it is not ruled out to be equipped with a front trunk. In terms of chassis, the new car will adopt a front double wishbone/rear 5-link layout, combined with CDC and dual chamber air suspension to form a chassis tuning system. Moreover, it is a pure electric model, so the weight of the entire vehicle body will also be relatively heavy at present.
In terms of power, it is expected to use the same motor as each on the ground, consisting of a pure electric power consisting of a 155kW motor in the front and a 245kW motor in the back. The maximum pure electric range is expected to reach 710km, and the zero to hundred acceleration is expected to reach the 3-second level. For such a full-size pure electric SUV, its competitors will probably be models like the Xiaopeng G9 and the Wenjie M9.
Of course, in terms of interior design, there is no need to expect too much. The same design language is still used, and there will only be more color TVs, refrigerators, and sofas.
