1.Interior Materials

2.Soundproofing Materials

In addition to the visible materials in the interior, there is a significant portion hidden behind the trim panels. These materials play a crucial role in determining the vehicle’s NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) performance. The soundproofing and noise reduction design of the Yuan PLUS cabin mainly consists of five insulation pads and three sound-absorbing cottons. The five insulation pads include the front hood pad, front cabin pad, front bulkhead pad, integrated carpet pad, and rear floor pad. The three sound-absorbing cottons are located in the side panels, ceiling, and dashboard.

2.Chassis Design:

The Yuan PLUS adopts a front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension combination, which is a common configuration in its class. However, its front subframe is a distinctive feature of the BYD e-platform 3.0 – a full-frame structure. Although it is a simple structure, it comes at a higher cost and offers excellent impact resistance. In contrast, many other vehicles in the same class use semi-frame subframes, driven by cost considerations.

The intelligent vehicle control domain integrates multiple modules, including BCM (Body Control Module), security gateway, key center, air conditioning control, tire pressure monitoring, instrument control, parking assistance, and intelligent key. The expanded version supports up to 32 distributed ECU (Electronic Control Unit) functions.

The intelligent power domain integrates modules such as VCU (Vehicle Control Unit), BMS (Battery Management System), MCU (Microcontroller Unit), OBC (On-Board Charger), and DC-DC (Direct Current Converter).
